Kitties!!!

Yeah....we just adopted 2 little kitties today. They are 4 1/2 weeks old so they still need to be weaned. They are the sweetest little kitties in the world! The little boy is orange/white striped and Amber named him Milo. The little girl is grey/white fuzz and Jade named her Tiny. We got them off of craigslist for free. I know they're not really "free" cause they need shots and crap....but it was nice not to have to pay to adopt them plus vet fees. So now we have 4 cats and a dog. It sounds a little crazy to me, too. But they're sooooooo cute!!!! You'd have had a hard time saying no, too.

Still Retarded

I swear...sometimes I don't know how I function on a day to day basis. This morning I put in my hours for Uhaul at home, then I got dressed and we went on a family walk/bike ride. When we got home, I did the dishes, got my stuff together and went to work at the daycar center. When I got there, I realized I never changed from my flips into my tennis shoes. Hahahaha! So I found the lady in charge of our schedules and told her what I did. She found someone to cover me and sent me home for the day. It's okay. I'm not in trouble. I had her laughing about my retarded pregnant brain. Man, I'm dumb sometimes! But at least I got a free day off with my family.

Yes...I Am Slightly Retarded

For the past week, I've been looking forward to today. Because I got to sleep in. I got to sleep in cause I had a doctor's appointment this morning at 9:20 and didn't have to get up to work for Uhaul (I take calls at home at the ungodly hour of 7am. Maybe that doesn't sound early to you....but for me it might as well be 4am.). So I got up around 8 to shower and get the girls ready for the day even though they were just hanging out with David at home. I left on time and got to the clinic right at 9:15. Signed in, and sat down. About 5 minutes later, I get called up to the front counter where I'm told my appointment isn't until next week. Hahahaha! I think I must be pregnant or something! So I had 2 hours to kill before I had to show up at the daycare center for work. I walked around Target for awhile.....got lonely and bored. So then I went across the street to my favorite used children's store....got more lonely and bored. I still had an hour left so I decided to drive to the base and go waste the remainder of time at the store there. By then I had a major boredom induced headache going on. I did find a couple adorable dresses for Paisley at the store on base. One was 75% off and the other was 50% off. Yea! I also got shampoo and a roll of the adhesive strips to rehang the girls frog caddy in their shower. And I ended up being 3 minutes late for work. Now how the heck did that happen??? Unfortunately, my headache never went away and I missed a whole morning of hanging out with my girls and David. That made me really sad. The next time I'll have the chance to do that is Sunday before church. Tomorrow I have to work for Uhaul from 7-10, then at the daycare from 11-5. Thursday and Friday it's the daycare center from 7-4. =( Can't wait till I can just stay home!

Amber vs. Maple Syrup

Poor Amber! She started making Eggo Waffles for her and Jade this morning. She put the waffles in the toaster, pushed it down, got 2 plates out, and put the syrup in the microwave. She then pushed the 2 for 2 minutes. And then the syrup exploded out of the microwave. We're talking the door flew open, the syrup bottle flew across the kitchen, all the while spraying hot maple syrup EVERYWHERE!!!! Poor girl forgot to open the lid to the bottle! The inside of the microwave was coated in syrup. So was the stovetop, oven door, counters, and the floor. Thankfully the bottle was nearly empty or I would have been really upset. As it was, we all laughed about it....well, everyone buy Amber who was in tears. David cleaned it up for me (thank you David!) and the girls ate their waffles with no syrup. I think that's one lesson Amber will never forget! Dang I need a camera.....

My Wonderful Helpful Husband

For the past couple weeks, David has been home with the girls 24/7. He's on leave and since I'm now working 2 jobs, he has been extremely helpful. Here's a list of some of the things he's done just from last week and today. Keep in mind that 90% of this stuff I didn't expect or even ask for! And he didn't tell me any of it. So I don't know if this list is even close to how much he's done.

-Finished painting our bedroom. This included moving the desk, cleaning out under the desk, taking down pictures, rehanging the pictures, putting off and then back on light/outlet covers, cleaning the paint equipment up and putting it all back in the garage.
-Moved and sorted laundry.
-Dishes at least 3 times
-Had dinner ready when I got home from work twice.
-Helped the girls clean up the family room.
-Didn't let me move a bookcase and did it himself.
-Mowed the front and back yards 2-3 times each (our grass was really really long in patches and had be gone over again and again).
-Painted a small dresser I'm using as a changing table and moved it into Paisley's room. All this painting is extremely impressive considering how much David HATES to paint!
-Cleaned out the garage.
-Took the girls out for a day of fun at our local free water park. He even packed them a picnic lunch.
-Refilled the dog food container. I know this sounds like a small job...but trust me...every little bit helps right now! Darn dog food bags are heavy!!
-Went with me to register at Target for baby stuff. All it took was forking over the zapper and he was a happy camper! It did take a lot of convincing to NOT zap a big screen TV though. Hahaha!
-Went with me to the BEST used children's store ever (Once Upon A Child) without complaint and even picked out some school clothes for the girls.
-Registered Jade for Kindergarten.
-Let me go to Lowe's to buy new handles for the dresser I'm using as a changing table even though he thinks it's dumb I'm doing things like this already. For some reason he thinks I should wait till a week or two before Paisley is born to have everything ready....
-He was very supportive through a temper tantrum I had this weekend and would have been okay with whatever I decided I wanted or didn't want to do.
-Didn't complain when I bought the girls a pair of shoes each for school at Payless. He even helped Amber find a pair that she liked and he approved of.

All these things sure adds up! I'm so grateful for the support David has given me over the years. And especially over the last week. I don't know what I'd do without him! Thank you, sweetie!
