Weekly Update

I haven't really had anything to write about lately. Life here just passes one day at a time pretty much the same thing every day. Amber and Jade continue to do well in school and Paisley keeps growing and learning new things all the time. I went to the girls' parent-teacher conferences last week. Apparently Amber's in the year-end 3rd grade reading level already. They also took the math final for the end of the year back in August and she scored a 77% without being exposed to any of the math beforehand. Her teacher is going to have her tested for the gifted program. Smarty-pants! Jade is progressing nicely as well. For those who don't know, she's always had trouble remembering letters for some reason. She couldn't remember 2 letters at the same time for longer than 10 seconds. But she now knows all the letters, most of their sounds, and can spell/read simple words (go, like, can, cat, see, Jade, etc). She's also pretty decent in math. Hooray Jade! Paisley has been copying my facial expressions lately. I'll stick my tongue out a few times while she watches intently. Pretty soon, out pops a cute baby tongue! And then she smiles and giggles about it. She also opens her mouth wide open for kisses. She reminds me of a baby bird and her mascot has become an owl. Paisley loves talking to the birds on her swing and enjoys the jumper for a few minutes at a time. She's just such a friendly thing and will smile and smile at anyone who gives her the time of day. We all love her to pieces! I've been trying to get dresses sewn. I've made all three girls a couple dresses for church. Right now I'm working on their Christmas dresses. Then I need to make Amber and Jade warm winter dresses, Christmas pajamas for all of them, and a couple other things for the older girls. I'm starting to feel the Christmas crunch and it's not quite Halloween! Hahaha! Enjoy the pics!

Random Pictures

Amber reading a book to Jade and Railynn.

Tai trying to feed a bottle to Paisley. As you can see, Paisley is less than fond of bottles. I did finally get her to take one however, but only by dipping the nipple in chocolate syrup. Hahaha!

Amber's showing off her tail.

The girls ready for church. I made Jade's dress and Tai made her girls' dresses. Amber is wearing her Easter dress.

David taught the girls how to play dominoes. Like their curlers? =)

Sweet Paisley's Blessing Day

Today David blessed our sweet baby Paisley. It was just him and his brothers Zach and Alex there, but nobody minded. We had the blessing here at our home which was nice. I made Kalua Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, fresh cut pineapple, Hawaiian Sweet Bread, and rice for dinner. After the blessing we all played Apples to Apples until my girls bedtime. Paisley was beautiful in her dress.

In other news....I made Paisley a dress to match Amber's and Jade's dresses. It's really cute. Too bad Amber's dress is ready to be passed down to Jade.....Oh well. It was fun for 1 Sunday anyways!

I love how Paisley looks concerned...... "Don't eat me, Daddy!" Haha!
I feel like I'm doing this backwards.....Okay. Maybe just read this blog in reverse. Here's more pictures from the last week or so. =)

A Day With Grandpa and Nana

Yesterday we went to my dad's to hang out and also for Celeste's 3rd birthday party. The girls had fun playing in the backyard and then we went to Freestone Park. My dad was kind enough to buy all the kids wristbands for unlimited rides in the kid's area at the park. They sure had a blast riding the train, carousel, wave runners, and ferris wheel. Poor Amber wasn't allowed to ride the ferris wheel though cause she is too tall. She was pretty heartbroken. The kiddos also had fun feeding the ducks and rolling down the hill. After the party we went back to my dad's and Crissy cut my hair. I don't have any pics yet, but I'll be sure to get some soon. It's really cute. She cut maybe 4inches off the bottom, layered it, razored it, and now it has tons of body and really good movement. I love it! =)

Some September and October Fun

It's been 2 1/2 weeks with 10 people in my house now and I'm loving it! Tai and I have gotten some sewing projects done and will be starting some new ones shortly. We take turns cooking and cleaning and the kids have been getting along pretty well. Amber, Logan and Jade have a hard time sometimes, but so far problems have been minimal. Thank goodness for that! Here's some fun things that have been going on.....Sweet baby Paisley talking to her daddy
Jocy holding Paisley
David's super cool hair-don't

Jocy carrying Tiny
For some reason Jocy cries ever time I sit at the table with her in the morning.....
Tai working on Rai's dress
One of Paisley's cute poncho's I made for the winter. And cute pants to match. Hahaha!
Paisley is super spoiled and wants to be held and snuggled all day. Obviously that's not possible so David came up with this solution. The bottom pillow is curved to make her feel like she's laying on someone. The 2 pillows on the sides and to make her feel like she's being snuggled (and also to prevent her from falling off the bottom pillow). It actually works pretty well. Silly girl!

A JOB!!!!

Well....a temporary part-time job anyways. But we're grateful for anything at this point! David finally found work and there's light at the end of this dark tunnel! He's going back to work with a pest control company he worked for years ago when Amber was a baby. It's only 2-3 days a week....but we have another plan forming. He's going to go get his license to be a process server. He goes in next Wednesday. And if all goes well, he'll have his license and another job. But the job as a process server is only 2-3 hours a day but pays a whole lot more. So it's something he can keep doing once he starts school in January. Oh yeah....he's going back to school in January. Nursing school. Hopefully Everest College for his RN, then he can work as a nurse while he gets his BSN from ASU. That will give him the year experience he needs to apply for CRNA school (to be a Nurse Anesthesist). So that's the whole plan. Pest control part-time till January, process server through RN school, and on and on. It's nice to have a plan!
