Memorial Day Weekend

This last weekend was GREAT! David came home from San Antonio Friday night which was a surprise. We weren't expecting him till sometime Saturday. Amber was having a sleepover that night cause her best friend was moving on Sunday. They were up till 1:30am! What the heck??? We're NOT having any sleepovers again for a long, long while. So Saturday morning I made waffles and eggs for breakfast. That's a treat cause normally it's cold cereal or a bagel. We took the girls to see Night At The Museum and it was actually pretty good. When we got home, I decided it was about time to finish painting my bedroom and get it cleaned up. So I made David move our huge heavy dresser and I painted/cleaned up our office area. I got 2/3 done and had to call it quits cause my hip was hurting (stupid sciatic nerve!) plus dinner was ready. All I have left is where the computer and door are. But I cleaned up paper garbage, hung some pictures and rehung others, made a spot for our future bookcase, and sorted all the laundry...again. Sunday was quiet. We just went to church and that's pretty much it. Monday we left the house around 10, went to base so David could turn in his leave slip, then headed to Goodyear Park. At the park, there's an awesome water play area with 2 playgrounds on either side of it. Sooo much fun! We all had a blast running through the water sprays! Sorry no pics....maybe in a couple weeks I'll be able to get a new camera. Probably with my next UHaul check. On our way home, we stopped at Old Navy to get the girls some flips for the summer. I'm going to seriously save up some dough for school shoes this year. Both girls need new tennies and a pair of casual shoes each. 4 pairs of new shoes plus clothes/backpacks/supplies.......I guess it's a good thing I have a second job for the summer! Luckily, I found my FAVORITE used children's store (Once Upon A Child) in Glendale! The only one I knew of before was in Gilbert. But this one is just across the street from my doctor's office. Hooray! We'll definately be making a trip in a few weeks!
I had my 28 week visit today. I had another ultrasound and my previa has been cleared. Paisley is still breach and apparently enjoys sucking on her knee. All I can say is that she'd better flip over soon! I drank the sugary drink (they gave me fruit punch instead of orange and it wasn't so bad. At least it wasn't carbonated!) and had my Rogam shot, too. I asked my doctor about elective induction and I'm okayed to deliver 2 weeks early. So that brings my countdown to 68 days. That's coming up sooo fast! I still need cloth diapers, a car seat, stroller, CRIB, and other random baby things. Can't wait!

Some Updates...But No Pictures

I'm still cameraless, so if you don't want to be bored by my talking, then you probably won't continue reading this post. Sorry!
This last weekend, the girls and I had a TON of fun! We started on Thursday. First, I took Amber and Jade to their well-check appointments. Thankfully, neither one needed any shots. Hooray! Amber is 52in tall and 45lbs. Jade is 44in tall and weighs 32lbs. They are both extremely healthy little girls and Jade is good to go for Kindergarten registration. After their appointments, we headed to Roma's to say "Hey" for a little while before going out to Zach and Tai's. The girls had a blast playing with their cousins and I had fun visiting with Tai. We had Pizza Hut for dinner and pancakes for breakfast in the morning. Oh, can I just say how upset I was/am about the Grey's Anatomy finale??? Grrrrr!!! Something great had better happen right away when the next season starts. That's all I can say. Anyways, Friday morning the girls and I met up with my dad and Jami and we drove up to their cabin. SOOOOO much fun! The creek had water in it and a little pond at the end of my dad's property. Just deep enough for the girls to splash around in and not deep enough for me to worry about them. Amber and Jade had such a great time! I pretty much gave them free range and they loved it! I had fun catching up with my dad and Jami and we all had fun painting rocks. I know this sounds boring...but it's really not. My dad brought his camera and I took some pictures with it, but then it ran out of batteries. And he hasn't sent me the pics yet....but when he does, I'll post them. We didn't get back home until 10:30pm Sunday night. And since I'm such a nice Mom, I let Amber sleep in till 8:30 Monday morning. She then showered, finished her homework (we forgot to work on it at the cabin!) and went to school. Tomorrow is the last day of school and she has an awards ceremony in the morning. Too bad I don't have a camera! Oh well. I'll definately get one before Paisley's born!
David is due home sometime Saturday. He doesn't know if he's going to drive straight through Friday night and get here early early, or if he'll stop and stay the night and get here in the afternoon. It all depends on when he gets released from his training. We can't wait to see him! I think we're gonna try to take the girls to see The Night At The Museum this weekend. Either Saturday or Monday. We'll see how it works out. For now, I'm keeping them in the dark about it.
I got my first paycheck from U-Haul today. A whopping $35! Woohoo! But that was just for one day of training/downloading. I won't get paid again for a few weeks since I officially start my training on Memorial Day.
And I've been working on Paisley's room. I repainted a turning shelf that was in Jade's old room. It's now black. And I painted an old dresser to match. I even got new hardware for the dresser and drilled new holes for it and everything. I'm putting away her clothes tomorrow, vaccuuming, and putting my rocking chair in there. Then all that will be left is new curtains and a crib. I'm making the crib skirt. I decided on layers and layers of tulle. Dark hot pink will be the bottom few layers. And I'll use white on the top and gather it vertically in intervals so it drapes (like Belle's yellow dress...sorta). It'll be way cute. When I finish it, and have a camera, I'll take pictures.
Okay...I think this post is long enough now. Good-night! =)

My Mother's Day

So, David's out of town. He left Friday for San Antonio. He'll be gone until Memorial Day Weekend. Since he left, all I've heard from Amber is about how great Daddy is and how Daddy lets her do anything she wants and Daddy is more funner than Mom is and la la la la la. Well, yesterday for Mother's Day, she actually quit whining about everything! It was great. The girls let me sleep in till 8:30 when I got up on my own. They had already eaten breakfast though and weren't hungry for the waffles I had planned on making. So I had a yogurt. We did basically nothing till about 10:30 when I told them they could have a donut and get ready for church. Amber was all smiles and said, "Daddy would never let us have a donut for lunch!" I tried to remind Amber that they'd been having snacks all morning and wouldn't eat a real lunch right now anyways, but she wasn't listening. So then the dress drama began. Both Amber and Jade put on dresses they wore last week. I told them to go change. Jade changed without an issue. Amber threw herself on the floor and slammed her door. She then came out in a winter dress. Again, I told her to change it. Again, she threw herself on the flooring screaming and slammed her door. And again, she came out in a winter dress. Oh my gosh. So her 4th try she finally came out in an appropriate dress, I got her hair fixed and we made it to church before the opening song was done. I had to substitute as the singing lady in Primary. Boy, that's fun. Ha. But I made it through and we left to go home. I made terriyaki chicken, rice, zuccini, and fresh pineapple for dinner. And for once, both girls ate without complaining or fighting or running around the house. Yea! We spent the evening with me painting a shelf in the garage and the girls playing in the front yard. I even got a sweet email from my sweetie-pie. I love being a mom!

More Fun Baby Things

I haven't been able to buy these yet...but I will shortly. Hopefully before they're sold out. Haha. I like the pattern cause it's neutral. I don't want to buy really girly baby gear just in case someday down the road I have a baby boy (wishful thinking - right?). So I'm being ultra practical and buying things that can go either way. Other than the bedding. Obviously. =)

I also like them cause they're Graco and in my opinion, you can never go wrong with Graco. They're the bestest. Especially cause Graco carseats are the only ones (to my knowledge anyways!) with the seatbelt hooks in case you don't have the base with you. And I like the playard cause it's smaller than the average one. So it can fit through doorways while it's set up. And won't take up too much room at people's houses or hotels or wherever I happen to be. Plus it has a removeable bassinet.

PS - Until I either find my poor lost camera or save up enough to replace it....this is the kind of boring posts you can look forward to. Hooray! =)

I Love Buying Baby Things!

I've had my eye on this playmat for years. Literally years. I found it on Onestepahead.com and fell in love with it. But I didn't have another baby, so I never bought it. Well....now that I'm pregnant, I was super excited that I had a reason to buy it. But me being the way I am, I wanted to see if I could find it anywhere else for less before I did. And it's a good thing I checked! From One Step Ahead, it's $49.99+shipping. I found the exact same mat, brand new, on ebay for $19.99+$5 shipping. I just saved myself over 50%! I'm so proud! =)

It has a removeable water-filled pat mat and a bunch of fun things to play with!

Just One Thing....

Monday's SUCK!!! I hate Monday's. I have yet to experience a Monday that I got along with. There. That being said, I'm going to hibernate for the rest of the evening.
